New Major Release 6.75 available

28/11/2013

ConnectMaster V 6.75 sucessfully deployed

With the release of the newest version of ConnectMaster, Dynamic Design delivered a completely new routing engine for the physical part of the product. With the new engine it is possible to find complex new routes between two points in the cable network with ease. The engine takes into consideration all possible options to create a new fiber route. Not connected fibers in cassettes, fibers already connected it even proposes to cut fibers and resplice them, it creates normal patchings including patch cables and creates new cassettes if necessary. It easily creates parallel routes to existing ones and it proposes protection routes that take into consideration the highest possible diversity. Other highlights include a native ESRI shape file support within the GIS environment and a consolidation of the Ethernet logical module that supports MPLS/MPLS-TP as well as VPN documentation. In the GIS environment Oracle Locator and all types of WMS Services (e.g. OSM) are supported. The PowerManagement module is included in its second release. The bill of material supports now also service and labour cost including cost set support for different countries.

FTTx Rapid Network Planner - Improved Features I

09/07/2013

Area Statistics

The base functionality of this feature allows users to compile a statistic overview of certain attributes of the customer locations in the selected area drawn. For instance, if following attributes are available to the customer locations, users can easily gather the total number of users, maximum splice holder required and average number of fiber connections per customer of the selected area. Besides, users can also compute an estimated number of components required for the customer locations in the selected area based on the selected defined ruleset. Now enhanced, the base functionality is incorporated with cost calculation functionality. Users can easily generate BOM and BOQ reports of the area to obtain a summarized list of all of the components used (e.g. ducts, cables, BEP cabinets, cassettes, etc).

Feeder Planning

A mix of new and improved functionalities has considerably enhanced the overall performance of this feature by extending its scope and functionality. The base functionality of this feature allows users to quickly generate ducts and cables in the feeder and distribution segments ensuring correct dimensioned ducts and sufficient fibers are fit for the planning work. Users are solely in control of the types of component to use. With the new functionalities introduced, users are now able to convert polyline to CM-polyline assigned as trench, duct or cable without losing its original geometry. Besides, the planning mode has been extensively distinguished to improve planning simplicity.

New major release of ConnectMaster available

21/12/2012

Version CM 6.50 successfully released

At the end of November 2012 Dynamic Design released their latest version of his flagship solution ConnectMaster® . The new major release 6.50 introduces powerful new features to support the day to day work of network engineers in planning, documentation and management. In addition to the enhancements, two new modules have been also added to the software. The Power Management Module supports engineers in keeping track of power consumption of devices and helps to plan needed power capacity within POP’s and datacenters. The integration of Bing Maps to the GIS allows the use of aerial, hybrid and map data within the solution as well as search and geocoding functionality based on the Bing API. Enhancements to the existing solution and modules includes features which simplify the creation of mass connectivity data, configurable views of network infrastructure in the Explorer tree and the new Autorouting Engine for Logical Networks supporting network engineers in planning new routes even through mixed technologies just by selecting the endpoints. The routing engine will provide on the fly trail proposals including protection scenarios. This will result in an optimized routing and time savings during design processes. The Ethernet Module has also been enhanced with improvement in VLAN Management and the support of Ethernet services like VLL, VPLS and ETree . “We expect the enhancements in this release will improve productivity and efficiency of our existing and future customers in their daily work of planning and operating their network” said Manfred Wetzlmair, CEO of Dynamic Design. “The new functionalities have been developed in close cooperation with our existing customers and we are convinced that in using the new release every user will receive an immediate benefit”
